A week day long media trip with national and local level media persons was conducted from 03-10 Sept. 2014 at various working areas of Surkhet, Kalikot and Jumla districts. Reports from Kantipur, Nagarik, Aarthik Abhiyan, Yug Aawan, Image Channel, Radio Nepal, Karnali FM and other district based local reports were also engaged/invited to be a part media trip. The purpose of the trip was to collect; capture and disseminate HVAP produced best practices, program successes and achievements with the support of these change agents.
During the visit, the team has visited Milijuli Vegetable Production Group in Pingale, Pokharikanda VDC, Surkhet, Pragatisil Mahila Vegetable Production Group, Baratu, Badalkot of Jumla, Apple Production Groups of RAchuli, Kalikot, Kalika Krishi Bahuudesya Sahakari Sastha, Urthu Patmara, Jumla and conducted various interaction program at respective districts.
The team has basically captured rural knowledge, stories of the farmers, results, achievements and changes produced by HVAP and queries, concerns and grievances of the farmers through their radio programs, articles, news for newspaper, radio/FM and TV channels.
The engagement of media persons for the trip was led by Knowledge Management and Communication Advisor and Monitoring and Evaluation Expert of HVAP.
