High Value Agriculture Programme in Hill and Mountain Areas (HVAP) has selected a consulting company i.e. Development Vision of Nepal (DVN) to conduct annual outcome survey of the HVAP programme activities for 2013-2014. With the joint initiation, HVAP and DVN have organized an orientation programme from 13-15 Aug. 2014 at Surkhet. The purpose of the program is to orient the surveyors on about survey tools (i.e. questioner at household, group discussion, key informants interview, trader’s survey and implementing partners) where 13 surveyors were selected for this assignment.
On behalf of HVAP, Mr. Krishna Thapa, M&E Expert has highlighted the need and necessity of Outcome Survey at programme level. “The survey can assist to identify the achievement, provide feedback to take corrective action, find out the status of the project and assist team to document the outcome” as he said. Likewise, Dr. Govinda Koirala, team leader of DVN has oriented the team about various survey tools and took them into field for practical exercise.
At last, HVAP and DVN have divided the surveyor’s team into 5 groups so that they can visit and bring information from all the 7 working districts of HVAP in 7 VCs. After the team composition, the team was deployed into field for the mission. DVN will be submitting the final report of outcome to HVAP by end of the Oct. 2014.
